During his Service he was commended twice by Commander-in-Chiefs, once by the Chief of Naval Staff. He was also awarded Vishist Seva Medal by the President of India.
Post retirement from Indian Navy, he was Independent External Monitor (IEM) at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Mumbai (a Defence PSU) from 2015 to 2018.
His last job was as Director, Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Port Campus where he served from 2019 t0 2021. The Campus consisted of two legacy Maritime Training Institutes namely LBS CAMSAR & MERI [Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Advanced Maritime Studies & Research, and the Marine Engineering Research Institute (erstwhile DMET)
